The Steamship Freshspring Trust exists to conserve the
sole survivor of her class in original form.
SS Freshspring was intended to carry freshwater to
warships at dockyards and naval anchorages.
The intention of the Trust is to return the
Steamship Freshspring to sea-going condition. Once operable, she
will be unique in being the last small steam cargo
ship in existence. She will be active in UK waters
visiting different ports where she will be open
for visitors/school groups etc. She will also
offer exclusive cruises and provide practical
training for potential engineers and seafarers of
the future.

The Storehouse sells good quality used items such as
furniture, white goods and general goods etc.
We also support a local charity, Bideford’s The
Store Homelessness Project.

Youth Work is at the centre of our work at Wings, and
our Youth Workers are at the forefront of all we do,
whether that is running the youth club, teaching at the
North Devon Coastal Academy, working alongside parents
at the Little Wings group, running fitness and sports
sessions or running the Unity Groups.
Our aim is “to give young people a future and a hope”
through developing caring relationships and providing
positive role models.
